CALL FOR AUDIO & LIGHTING VOLUNTEERS
“You can design and create and build the most wonderful place in the world. But it takes people to make the dream a reality”. Walt Disney
Have you ever gone to a live music event and seen the people sitting by a console with all kinds of blinking lights and a myriad of knobs and wondered how all that works?
Do you have experience with sound reinforcement from church or community theater, or music production?
Do you have experience with lighting and visual systems?
Are you interested in learning about operating the audio/video systems at The Grand?
The Grand’s leadership committed funds and resources to upgrade our audio and lighting systems to be state-of-the-art at our different performing venues, but it takes people to operate them.
We are looking for volunteers to join our team of friends and neighbors who are responsible for ensuring production quality during live performances by the Music and Drama Clubs.
Now is your chance to be part of the show!
As a production volunteer, you’ll be behind the scenes working these events, helping set up sound and lighting systems, and learning to operate these systems so our audience and performers get the most out of our shows.
Under the watchful eye of our experienced team, you will be coached on how it all comes together and have the satisfaction of being an integral part of the team that makes it all happen.
The 2026/2027 season is just around the corner. We just completed a $1.6 million upgrade to the Sonoran Plaza ballroom facility where we present The Grand’s most significant music and theater productions for our residents.
Now is the time to volunteer, as we have systems training scheduled in September. We would be excited to add folks to our team to learn about and help our new technology.
