Grand Singers & Chorale -
Happy New Year to you all! I can't believe we're actually in 2026 - especially since our temps have been so beautiful! I got a sweater for Christmas, so I do need cooler temperatures at some point, but I'm not complaining!
Well, we're ready to get started for the next concert! This time, since it's so early, we have one less rehearsal than we normally do so this week we will be listening and then doing some work! We're jumping right in!
Tickets went on sale on January 1st, but there have been some issues with the actual printing of them. We're hoping it gets resolved on Monday, so I'll let you know! Keep in mind, it's always a little harder selling out for the Spring because people leave but it's going to be a little more difficult because our concert is actually on Palm Sunday. At least it's not in the morning during church time, but it's still a tough day! However, this is the year of our country's 250th birthday, so hopefully adding in the whole patriotic concert will make people excited! Haha! Anyway, do your best and encourage your friends and neighbors!
There will be listening and parts CDs available this week. We're trying to step away from doing this as Bob Nix, bless his heart, is growing a little tired of doing them! I don't know how many years he has done them, but it's a bunch! Use these few months to see if you can have a friend help you figure out how to download them from the club website to either your phone or your computer. I'll send off the instructions in another email to give you some time to learn! I'm not saying it is going to happen right away, but we need to start preparing for it!
One last thing before I send the schedule - I'm going to be sending off a Survey for our Holiday 2026 concert. It lists all the songs we've done since I became director, and I want you to pick your top 10. The concert is going to be the best of, or holiday favorites, or some title like that, and I want us to have all of our favorites!
