Subject: IMPORTANT INFORMATION!!! Schedule for 9/3/2025
From: The Grand Music Club - Pamela Weir

Dear Singers -

Well, are ready?  Is your pencil sharpened?  Is your music all numbered and marked from the notes you got at pickup?  Did you get your shoes all polished up and ready to go?  Do you have your smile all ready to show the excitement on your face when you see everyone?

Just like the first day of school, there are always changes and yup, we've got a big one for this week!  Apparently, our space was taken by CAM to house the Wine-Down event - we just found out, there wasn't much advance notice, particularly on a Holiday weekend!  We aren't happy about this at all, but they took it, and we can't rehearse in our regular space this week. The Community Church in The Grand, which has been our backup location when this has happened in the past, is not available this week. Fortunately, Cathy Pierce is a member of Spirit of Grace Church, which is also in The Grand, and they have welcomed us for this week!  The address is 15820 W. Clearview Blvd - it's kind of behind CVS, just after another street, on the left.  You won't miss it - they have a green roof!  If you are on Clearview and you get to N. Goldwater Ridge, you've gone too far!

Everything else is exactly the same!

We'll be doing some listening as well as some singing.  Next week will start sectionals, but this week we'll all be together to have some fun and get this year started right!

I wanted to let you know that we have some openings in the Chorale in almost all parts.  If you are interested in auditioning, please email me so we can set up an audition time. My email is boudreaupj@gmail.com.  I'd like to have the slots filled by October 1st, if at all possible. If you're a snowbird and won't be back by then, reach out and we'll figure out what to do.  As Dennis Muehling has had to step down for this concert due to his ongoing chemo treatments affecting his voice, and we've lost 2 other basses for various health reasons, I'm hoping a few of you basses will step up to sing!

Finally, you tenors and sopranos, I have only had 2 of you who have actually looked through my Markings for Music that were handed out with your music!  I know this because I gave an opportunity for a small group to sing a section in One-Horse Open Sleigh, and I only heard from 2 of you!!

See you on Wednesday!

DON'T FORGET, GO TO SPIRIT OF GRACE CHURCH THIS WEEK!
